E3 2016 - Bethesda Press Conference Recap

Quake Champions

First up at Bethesda E3 2016 is the return of a series the fanbase has been waiting for. Quake Champions is an FPS competitive multiplayer game built for all types of players from an everyday casual to an e-sport champion. Watch out Halo and COD, you're going to have some competition.

Quake Champions will be released on PC only, and we'll have to wait for Quakecon in August to find out more. Take a look at the announcement trailer:

The Elder Scrolls Legends

The strategy card game set in The Elder Scrolls universe was first announced during Bethesda's press conference at E3 2015. This year they have released new information, confirming there will be a single-player campaign and an AI and online multiplayer mode. Legends is set to be released later this year on PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone and Android devices.

Fallout 4 DLC

Bethesda Game Studios was up next, announcing the next three DLC packs for Fallout 4 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. First up was a short look at Add On 4: Contraptions - a new workshop pack that will add elevators, armour racks, weapon racks, sorting machines and more, to the already awesome workshop system. Contraptions comes out next week.

Add On 5: Vault-Tec was a very exciting announcement. Coming next month is a massive addition to the workshop allowing people to build their own underground vaults. You'll also be able to experiment on the vault dwellers.

Finally, DLC no.6 Book Your Own Wasteland Vacation will be the next big content pack taking wastelanders to Nuka World! Coming August 2016.

Fallout Shelter

Will the addiction never end?!

Fallout Shelter is getting a massive update next month including new locations, quests for your dwellers, new enemies, an updated combat system, and more. Plus... wait for it... it's coming to PC (goodbye life).

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

Hallelujah! The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is the remaster we've all been waiting for, coming out October 28 this year on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The Special Edition will have improved graphics, new water and snow shaders, volumetric god rays, and a lot more improvements. The console versions will also include Bethesda's new mods feature which include a favourites, rating, and reporting system.

Bethesda later announced on Twitter that Steam owners of the full game, including all DLC, will receive the Special Edition for FREE!

From developers of the Dishonored series, Arkane Studios, comes the re-revealed first-person immersive psychological thriller, Prey. You play Morgan who was a key subject in an experiment designed to improve the human race. You wake up in the year 2032 aboard the Talos 1, a space station taken over by a hostile alien race. Morgan must uncover the secrets of Talos 1 while being hunted by the mysterious aliens.

Bethesda confirmed we will see more of Prey at Quakecon in August. For now, check out the E3 2016 re-reveal trailer below:

Doom DLC

Next up during Bethesda's press conference was Doom and the upcoming free updates to SnapMap and online multiplayer including three new modes.

The first premium DLC pack has also been revealed, called Unto the Evil. It will include another three new modes, a new playable demon, a new gun, equipment items, armour sets, and more.

Bethesda VR

During a quick unexpected announcement, Bethesda revealed their future plans for VR, including Fallout 4 coming to HTC Vive in 2017!

Dishonored 2

After almost an hour of mostly updates to games already out / announced, Bethesda closed the show with an extensive preview of the upcoming Dishonored sequel. We got to see a tour of the new location and a long gameplay preview that centred around Emily's abilities and the different ways to complete an objective. Bethesda also revealed the collectors edition for Dishonored 2 (because what's a Bethesda game without a collectors edition).
